Jessica
Gregg is a classically-trained goldsmith and jewelry designer. After falling
in love with jewelry making in high school and earning a Bachelor of Arts degree
in Art History from Middlebury College, Jessica studied at New York City’s
renowned Jewelry Arts Institute. There, she learned classical techniques from
instructors who drew their inspiration from ancient jewelry and was selected
to participate in the Institute’s prestigious apprenticeship program.
Later, Jessica worked for two master goldsmiths before striking out on her own.
She launched Jessica Gregg Jewelry in 2003, specializing in hand made one of
a kind pieces.
“My jewelry is remarkable in the literal sense that when you wear it,
someone is bound to remark upon it, whether you’ve paired it with your
favorite jeans or are on your way to a black-tie affair,” says Jessica
Gregg. “The women who wear my jewelry see it as a form of self-expression,
not a way to display social status. The design, color and composition strike
a chord in them, or they fall in love with the sensuousness of the materials.”
Jessica Gregg Jewelry can be purchased at private trunk shows, select galleries,
or directly from the artist. |
